George Washington High School safety Syhiem Simmons made his commitment to Rutgers University official today, signing his National Letter of Intent.
Simmons announced his commitment just a few days ago on January 29th, choosing Rutgers over his other offers from schools such as West Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Mississippi State.
Syhiem Simmons is a 3-star recruit, according to 247 Sports, and a great late addition to the class of 2017. He is ranked as the 6th best safety in the state of Alabama, according to Scout.
The talented safety is heading back home to New Jersey where he started his high school career at Hudson Catholic before playing his senior season in Alabama.
