Rutgers football has reached midseason.
The glass is either mercifully half-empty or regrettably half-full, depending on how you look at things.
The Scarlet Knights are riding a five-game losing streak that has thrown the program into misery, and six more contests remain. Rutgers will be an underdog in each of them, and a 1-11 finish appears more likely by the week. It's not a terribly fun time in Piscataway.
