It looked for a while like CBA (Albany, N.Y.) running back Stevie Scott would commit to Rutgers at the conclusion of Sunday's event when he met with head coach Chris Ash. The three-star made it clear that Rutgers is the favorite. And although he didn't end up doing so, he admitted he's "very close" to pulling the trigger on his offer.
The rising senior picked up his Rutgers offer in May and has since been intrigued by the Scarlet Knights. He was accompanied to campus Sunday by multiple family members and friends. He initially wanted to wait until after the upcoming season to decided, but it appears his timetable could become accelerated.
