PISCATAWAY – The Rutgers University faculty union isn’t looking to oust Kyle Flood, but does want a reaffirmation from the school of its autonomy .
Flood is under investigation by the school for potentially impermissible contact with a class instructor, in the form an email he allegedly sent inquiring about status of cornerback Nadir Barnwell, who is known to be in jeopardy of being ruled academically ineligible.
The union wants the school to Rutgers University president Robert Barchi to speak up and correct the chain of command.
