NEW BRUNSWICK — The way Chris Paladino sees it, the one thing missing from Rutgers University's downtown campus is a central gathering space.
The president of New Brunswick Development Corporation (Devco) believes the new College Avenue apartment building called "The Yard'' will be that congregation spot.
"Great eateries, movie 'knights,' game watches, pep rallies, yoga classes and lunch time concerts,'' Paladino said, "will make The Yard the center of campus activity.''
It's why top Rutgers officials were intrigued by the kinds of marketing opportunities that a public hub featuring a 12' x 30' high definition video board has to offer.
