Rutgers revealed a new seven-figure donor who isn't stopping his efforts there.
Barry Goldsmith is doubling every fundraising gift through the rest of December that is earmarked for the Rutgers lacrosse and soccer complex under the athletics department's Big Ten Build campaign, the school announced Thursday.
Dubbed the "R Faceoff Matching Gift Challenge," Goldsmith's offer to match is good for up to $200,000. Here is more information.
Goldsmith is a former Rutgers lacrosse midfielder (1963-66) who committed $1 million to name the strength and conditioning center in the lacrosse and soccer training complex.
