PISCATAWAY – Chris Ash wrapped up his first day as a full-time New Jerseyan by impressing some of the state’s football powerbrokers.
The new Rutgers football head coach and his eight assistant coaches met with high school football coaches from around the state Monday night at the Hale Center during a 90-minute meeting for the New Jersey Football Coaches Association.
“He definitely fits into New Jersey,” Bernards coach Jon Simoneau said. “I think all of us coaches were excited to meet him. Just the way he talked to us today, he definitely knows how to build a program.
