PISCATAWAY -- Chris Ash waited until game-day last week before he named Giovanni Rescigno as Rutgers' starting quarterback against Illinois.
This week, the Rutgers coach isn't keeping fans in suspense.
Ash tapped Rescigno for the start this Saturday (12 p.m., BTN) against Purdue, announcing the decision Wednesday night during his radio show.
While Rescigno played certainly played well enough to earn his second straight start by throwing for 89 yards and rushing for 41 in a 35-24 triumph at Illinois, there was some question whether the fourth-year junior quarterback was healthy after he took a helmet-to-knee hit late in the third quarter.
