Rutgers brightest star, Leonte Carroo, latest player to be suspended by Kyle Flood

PISCATAWAY – Leonte Carroo, Rutgers football’s biggest star, a team captain and a highly regarded 2016 NFL Draft prospect, has been suspended indefinitely from the program, coach Kyle Flood announced Sunday night.

The suspension is the result of the All-Big Ten wide receiver’s alleged involvement – the extent of which is unknown – in an altercation that took place outside the football stadium following a loss Saturday night, Gannett New Jersey has learned.

“Leonte Carroo has been suspended from our program as a result of an incident that happened (Saturday) night outside of our stadium that is currently under investigation,” Flood revealed at the start of his weekly teleconference.
