Rutgers' adopted triplets: How Kyle Bolin, Gus Edwards, Damon Mitchell bonded

PISCATAWAY -- Call them the adopted triplets.

Ever since Hall of Famers Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin were nicknamed "The Triplets" when the Dallas Cowboys ruled the NFL in the early 1990s, quarterback-running back-wide receiver combinations have been looked at in groups of three.

At Rutgers, there's a new set of triplets in the starting lineup.

Quarterback Kyle Bolin, running back Gus Edwards and wide receiver Damon Mitchell are graduate transfers from Louisville, Miami and Arkansas, respectively. It's created an instant bond.
