After more than 30 years of coaching experience, including seven as a head coach, Nick Quartaro is taking on a different kind of role at Rutgers.
Quartaro has been hired as Rutgers football director of player development, the school announced Wednesday. It is a return to the northeast for Quartaro, a Geneva, N.Y. native who previously worked at Hobart College and was Fordham’s head coach from 1994-97.
Most recently, Quartaro was the assistant head coach and tight ends coach under Dan McCarney at North Texas.
