High school football recruits are receiving offers earlier and earlier, as some of the most high profile hold a handful before leaving middle school. But that's usually not how things work for quarterbacks as it takes longer to project how good one is truly going to be.
However, that isn't the case for St. Joseph (Mont.) freshman Michael Alaimo, who received his first offer from Rutgers, last week.
"I got home from quarterback training and then coach (Augie) Hoffmann called me and said that I needed to call coach (Bill) Busch," Alaimo told NJ.
