On Friday, it was reported by FBSchedules.com that Rutgers and Boston College have agreed to a home and home football series in 2026 & 2027. Ryan Dunleavy of NJ Advance Media reported that the series agreement was actually made by former Rutgers athletic director Julie Hermann, but current AD Pat Hobbs did sign the contract.
Rutgers and Boston College have met on the gridiron 26 times previously, with BC owning a 19-6-1 record. The two schools met each other every season between 1981 and 2004, with both programs becoming charter members of the Big East conference.
