REPORT: Rutgers extended Chris Ash before season finale

In an exclusive, NJ Advance Media’s Ryan Dunleavy reported that Chris Ash received a contract extension through 2022 just before the season finale against Michigan State.

As the report lays out, Ash’s original five year deal in essence now has two more years on it. “The two additional years on top of the three he had remaining are worth $5.1 million total, according to a Rutgers official. Ash's starting salary was $2 million per year with annual raises of $100,000 and those terms remained unchanged: He will make $2.2 million in 2018.”

Ash was hired in December of 2015 to replace the fired Kyle Flood.
