Report: Former UMd. LB Nihym Anderson tranferring to Rutgers

On the eve of the 2018 season, Rutgers football has added another player to the mix. Former 3-star linebacker Nihym Anderson from the class of 2018 has joined the program. The former Maryland Terrapin signee was granted his full release due to the investigation into the school’s “toxic culture” following the death of offensive lineman Jordan McNair.

Anderson likely will be on scholarship at Rutgers and based on the circumstances it is likely he will be eligible to play this season. Ash continues to add talent to the roster through the transfer route, and this is a crucial get because linebacker depth took a hit with several players being suspended in the credit card fraud situation.
