Shortly after being accepted into Rutgers University, Sean Samuels officially made his commitment to the football team.
Samuels spoke with NJ.com, saying, “I just got confirmation that I just got in. And I am committed to Rutgers.”
A 2-star recruit based on Rivals.com rankings, Samuels was committed to Navy out of high school, but left the school after a summer on campus and re-opened his recruitment. As a class of 2016 prospect, Samuels only had offers from Navy and Army.
Despite receiving interest from schools such as Nebraska and Old Dominion, Samuels ultimately chose to stay close to home.
