Ray Rice on Kyle Flood: 'He cares about the kids winning on and off the field'

Former Rutgers running back Ray Rice has come out in full support of Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood, following a three-game suspension and $50,000 fine — the result of a university-led investigation into rules violations.

Flood, who was offensive line coach at the school when Rice attended — from 2005 to 2007 — impacted the former NFL Pro Bowler, in a plethora of ways. And according to Rice, he's not the only one.

"As far as being a great coach, I think that speaks for itself," Rice told NJ.com, Wednesday afternoon. "But he's just overall a great person.
