Johnson's numbers slid a bit as a junior in 2017, but he still posted a solid year - 137 carries for 875 yards, five touchdowns - despite the Terrapins' wave of injuries and issues at quarterback. Maryland should be healthier under center in 2018, which will allow Johnson to have a chance at bouncing back.

Thorson (2,844 yards, 15 TD, 12 INT in 2017) may be one of the most important players in the Big Ten this fall. No one seems to know exactly when he will be back on the field after tearing his ACL in last year's Music City Bowl, and how sturdy he'll be once he gets there.
