UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Chris Ash isn't especially good at sugarcoating things and, to his credit, the head coach didn't even try when asked about the biggest problem in his Rutgers program right now. He needed only 14 words to summarize the issue holding back his team.
"Inability to get open, and when we did get open, an inability to connect," the head coach said when asked about the problems in the Rutgers passing game -- and, given the ugly numbers this offense is compiling, maybe the non-passing game is a better name for it.
