Projecting Rutgers defensive depth chart post-spring practice: Is the d-line Big Ten-caliber?

Chris Ash had a hand in determining the unique scoring system for the Scarlet-White spring game, but the defensive-minded Rutgers head coach admitted it wasn't easy seeing 132 points scored against his defense in the scrimmage.

The bright spot for Ash? The first-team defense wasn't the unit responsible for relinquishing the bulk of the big plays.

"I’m really pleased with where our (first-team) defense is,'' Ash said Saturday following the Scarlet-White scrimmage. "You look at that scoreboard and (it read) 132-132, there weren’t a lot of points that our 1 defense gave up.
