Look: The bar was on the ground, okay?
Rutgers was destroyed in back-to-back weeks against Kansas and Buffalo coming into it's latest Big Ten test, so any sign of life was going to be met with high fives and hugs from the shrinking home crowd.
So, yes, Rutgers suffered its fourth-straight loss on Saturday afternoon, this time to an Indiana program that the Scarlet Knights eventually will have to beat on a regular basis if they ever want to compete in the Big Ten.
But forget that for now. This program needed a solid, 60-minute effort after losing three straight ugly games, and finally, that's what it got in a 24-17 loss at HighPoint.
