With training camp less than four weeks away, we spent the week counting down our list of the most valuable players on the Rutgers football team.
Of course, defining a MVP is subjective. As for our criteria, we ranked players based on how important they are to the success of this year's team. A simple, if slightly morbid, way of looking at the list is if Player X was to go down with a season-ending injury early in the year, how much of an effect would that have on the team?
Depth certainly was a factor when shaping the list.
