It took three weeks, but fans finally caught a glimpse of the potential of Penn State Football on Saturday night.

Saquon Barkley exploded for 195 yards and two touchdowns, and the Penn State defense suffocated Rutgers’ offense all night including five sacks and two interceptions in the Lions’ 28-3 win.

Even more impressive than Penn State’s suddenly potent ground game, the offensive line did not allow a sack of Christian Hackenberg for the second-straight week. The group did so while missing starting left tackle Andrew Nelson, although Paris Palmer filled in quite well.
