PISCATAWAY -- Rutgers is a two-win team that has celebrated three victories.
There's the blowout victory against Morgan State, the Big Ten victory against Illinois and the moral victory against Washington back in the season-opener.
Though Rutgers coach Chris Ash never conceded that his team took too many pats on the back for surprisingly hanging tough against then-No. 8 Washington, many of his veteran players did.
It cost Rutgers dearly the next week, but could be a benefit in the run long run now that Rutgers faces a similar situation after beating Illinois to snap a 16-game Big Ten losing streak.
