A week before the tailgating starts up again in Piscataway, Rutgers football fans still may have to gather in groups to watch the season-opener.
That’s because Rutgers at Washington — scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff on Sept. 3 — will air on Pac-12 Network, which is sparsely available throughout New Jersey because major cable providers like Verizon, DirecTV and Optimum do not offer the West Coast-based channel.
