Welcome to episode no. 73 of the On The Banks Podcast, as host Lance Glinn welcomes former Rutgers women’s basketball player and current critical care nurse Christa Evans.
Evans was a two-time captain and played in 131 career games despite batting quadriceps tendinitis most of her four seasons on the banks from 2011-2015. Her toughness personified her Rutgers career, so it’s no surprise she is now playing a heroic role off the court as well. She is currently a critical care nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at RWJ University Hospital Somerset.
Evans is on the frontlines of the battle against COVID-19 and she spoke both about this phase of her life, as well as her Rutgers career on the court.
