Shea Patterson will have an impact on the Big Ten in 2018.
It just remains to be seen if it will come on the field, or from the sideline.
The Michigan quarterback has appealed to be eligible to play this fall after transferring in from scandal-plagued Ole Miss, arguing he was recruited to the SEC school under false pretenses. Patterson, and five other former teammates at other schools, say former coach Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss mislead them about the severity of the NCAA investigation into the program.
But Ole Miss is challenging Patterson's claim, rather than supporting his appeal or remaining neutral, according to a CBS Sports report.
