Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer has been suspended for the first three games of the 2018 season due to the fallout from the Zach Smith domestic violence scandal.
That means he will not coach the No. 5-ranked Buckeyes against Rutgers on Sept. 8 in the Big Ten opener for both programs. Meyer will also miss the Sept. 1 season opener against Oregon State and a Sept. 15 game against No. 16 TCU at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
