Tuesday, the Rutgers football program earned its third commitment of the 2018 class when Tottenville (Staten Island, N.Y.) athlete Zihir Lacewell pledged to the program.
The 6-3, 203-pounder originally committed Sunday as he looked on at the East Coast Elite Camp, but announced his intentions to the world Tuesday.
"I wanted to commit for a while," Lacewell, the rising senior, told NJ.com. "So I went to Rutgers the other day for a meeting, to speak to coach Ash, to coach Busch. I spoke to them, spoke to my parents, my family, and I just made a choice.
