After just a year and a half spent at Paramus Catholic, 3-star defensive back Jarrett Paul has officially signed to stay in New Jersey to play his collegiate ball at Rutgers University.
Paul was the first commit of the 2018 cycle, remaining faithful in his commitment by rarely engaging with other teams and assisting in the recruitment of potential commits.
While his Paramus Catholic team had a down year in 2017, Paul was a standout cover corner who showed that he is not afraid to take on - and deliver - contact and big hits.
The six-foot-one, 195-pound athlete fits the mold of the type of cornerback that Chris Ash is looking to groom and develop - a long, physical defender who can grow to handle one-on-one coverage against the Big Ten’s top wide receivers.
