WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- A New Year's Day overtime home loss to Minnesota certainly did not sit well with No. 16 Purdue, which enters Tuesday night's Big Ten game against Rutgers in Mackey Arena trying to make a February run to the conference championship.
The Boilermakers (20-5, 9-3 Big Ten) have won three in a row, eight of 10 overall and four straight on Keady Court by an average 20-point margin since the 91-82 OT loss to the Golden Gophers, who won at Rutgers (13-13, 2-11) this past Saturday.
"We set team goals at the beginning of the year, and one of those goals was to be undefeated at home in conference play," Purdue junior Vince Edwards said Monday afternoon.
