If he wasn’t so busy putting together one of the best individual performances of the college football season, Jabrill Peppers might have taken notice of Tanner McEvoy’s stat line Saturday.
Peppers, an East Orange native, played 92 snaps on defense, offense and special teams for Michigan as the rare three-way player last week. He accounted for 103 all-purpose yards, his first career rushing touchdown, two 40-plus yard returns, three tackles and two pass-breaks against Minnesota.
At the same time, McEvoy, a Hillsdale native and Bergen Catholic High School alum playing for Wisconsin, recorded 29 rushing yards and a touchdown, an interception, and a sack playing Wildcat quarterback, wide receiver and free safety against Rutgers.
