Well, color me impressed, I suppose.
In Rutgers’ inaugural Big Ten season the Scarlet Knights pulled off an 8-5 record, battled Penn State to a stalemate, beat conference blueblood Michigan, pulled off a thrilling come-from-behind victory to beat new rival Maryland, and put a hurt on North Carolina in the Quick Lane Bowl.
A year ago this blogger thought Rutgers might be lucky to pull off five wins and figured any conference opponent with a pulse would steamroll the Scarlet Knights. So apologies to the one commenter who called me a “haughty Big Ten apologist;” I guess we really weren’t ready for #JerseyFootball after all.
