Meet the latest Rutgers player to play both offense and defense

PISCATAWAY -- Decades ago, the sight of a Rutgers player lining up on both sides of the ball wasn't all that uncommon. As recently as the late 1960s, players would routinely play both offense and defense for the Scarlet Knights.

These days, it's about as rare as a fumblerooski.

In 2010, Edmond Laryea made headlines for playing both fullback and linebacker in the season-opening win over Norfolk State. Three years later, Ruhann Peele started at cornerback and played in a second-quarter series at wide receiver in a defeat at Connecticut.
