Syhiem Simmons' adjustment to college might not be as big as some of his fellow Rutgers freshmen.
At least that's what he believes after spending time playing against SEC-caliber athletes in Alabama, where he was exposed to a "different speed, linemen size, different attitude of certain kids playing" and "the experience got me way better -- more skill, more talent, more technique."

Simmons committed to Rutgers on Jan. 29, 2017 when he came for an official visit, though he said that he was Rutgers-bound in his mind before then but respecting the coaches' wishes not to make his pledge until coming to campus.
