PISCATAWAY -- Ohio State faced a team from Las Vegas last week, but it is going to face a young cornerback who likes to gamble this week.
If top corner Blessuan Austin remains sidelined for Rutgers after a knee injury suffered in a loss to Nebraska, Damon Hayes will slide from the slot to the perimeter of the defense and start opposite Isaiah Wharton. If Austin returns, Hayes will keep his normal role as a psuedo-starter.
Either way, expect Hayes to take a few chances in coverage.
