After suspending seven players, including the most recent in Leonte Carroo, Rutgers football head coach, Kyle Flood, has coincidentally joined the gentlemen in detention hall with a suspension (and a $50,000 fine) of his own for three games under the suspicion of contacting a professor about a player’s academic eligibility.
In a statement posted by NBC Sports, Kyle Flood addresses his wrongdoing, placing an emphasis on assuring his football players meet academic standards:
“Earlier today, I met with President Barchi in his office and he informed me of my three-game suspension and the imposed fine.
