There's an open quarterback competition once again.
Two months after settling an almost year-long search for a starting quarterback by naming Kyle Bolin as his season-opening starter, Chris Ash could be on the verge of a QB change after opening up the position last week during the bye.
Ash noted that Bolin could still re-earn the starting job. Or he could tap true freshman Johnathan Lewis or fourth-year junior Giovanni Rescigno to start Saturday (12 p.m., BTN) at Illinois.
