Kyle Bolin has finally buried the never-ending Rutgers quarterback controversy | Politi

PISCATAWAY -- The never-ending quarterback controversy at Rutgers, which had stretched from one season to the next in a perpetual loop of futility and frustration, is dead.

Kyle Bolin killed it on Friday night. He did it with a crisp 11-play scoring drive that set the tone for the season opener against Washington. He did it with a solid if not spectacular performance overall, completing 24 of 34 passes for 178 yards with two touchdowns.

He wasn't perfect. He twice forced passes into coverage when he should have thrown the ball away or taken a sack, leading to a pair of interceptions.
