Saturday, the Rutgers baseball program announced excellent news that four-year starter Tom Marcinczyk signed to play for the Somerset Patriots. He is the second member of the Rutgers baseball class of ‘17 to enter the professional ranks, following Max Herrmann. The former Knights outfielder is already on the roster and is in uniform for tonight’s game at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater.
Marcinczyk was named OTB’s unsung hero for Rutgers baseball in 2017 after registering his 200th career hit, one of only 17 players in program history to do so.
