A little more than a month after two of his football teammates were selected in the NFL draft, Jawuan Harris got his name called today in the annual Major League Baseball draft by the San Diego Padres. In the 7th round, with the 201st overall pick, San Diego chose the true junior outfielder who has one year of baseball eligibility remaining if he elected to return to the banks. Word on the street is that he will sign and join the farm system probably in rookie ball or possibly up to High Class A ball.
