Kiy Hester has played his last game for Rutgers.
The three-year starting safety announced via social media Friday that he is exploring other opportunities both on and off the field for his future.
It is possible he could play somewhere in 2018 as a one-year graduate transfer as long he earns his degree in the spring or summer, receives a scholarship release and is healthy enough.
"I've been here four years, but I'm moving on to the next part of my life," Hester told NJ Advance Media. "Rutgers has been good to me.
