Jerry Kill's seizure 'devastating' news to Rutgers players, who eagerly await his return

PISCATAWAY -- Andrew Harte was in the room when Jerry Kill said a teary goodbye to his Minnesota players because symptoms of epilepsy forced the head coach to retire in 2015.

All those emotions resurfaced Sunday when Harte learned that Kill suffered a "minor seizure" in private at the Hale Center after taking a fall on the sideline during Saturday's game.

Harte, a kicker, transferred from Minnesota to Rutgers in the offseason to reunite with Kill, who is the team's first-year offensive coordinator.

"To see everything he went through at Minnesota, it was devastating to me and my teammates when I found out that he had that minor seizure," Harte said.
