Jawuan Harris was back in uniform after an eight-game suspension for an unspecified violation of team rules, but did not play in Rutgers' 4-1 win over Penn State to open Big Ten play.
It wasn't a disciplinary measure, head coach Joe Litterio said. It was a baseball measure. While Harris is the Scarlet Knights' best player and a potential early-round pick in June's MLB Draft, Rutgers went 6-1 on its spring break trip to Florida with Kevin Blum in center field and Harris at home. So on Friday, Rutgers stuck with what was working and Blum got another start, going 1-for-3.
