Janarion Grant returns to Rutgers, puts NFL Draft on hold until 2018

Janarion Grant still has time to make a few more dazzling plays for Rutgers.

After months of weighing a decision on his future, the kick and punt returner extraordinaire will return for his final season of eligibility and put off the NFL Draft, according to his own Instagram announcement. He has been granted a medical redshirt by the Big Ten.

Grant hasn't played since a broken ankle prematurely ended his true senior season on Sept. 24. He was injured at the end of a 76-yard scamper off a screen pass against Iowa and almost certainly would have needed to prove a return to full speed at the NFL Scouting Combine or Pro Day in order to be worthy of a draft pick.
