If there was one bright spot during Rutgers' loss to Washington State, it was the play of junior wide receiver/return man Janarion Grant, who earned Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week honors.
With the Scarlet Knights down 23-20 early in the fourth quarter, Grant took one to the house, returning a kickoff 100 yards for his first touchdown of the day. And then with 1:31 remaining in the game and Rutgers down 34-30, Grant scored his second touchdown by returning a punt 55 yards for a score.
On the afternoon, Grant recorded 337 all-purpose yards, a new program record.
