I admit, what you're about to read is derived from the comments section on a story colleague Ryan Dunleavy wrote Thursday about Tyler Wiegers, the backup quarterback at Iowa who was once thought to be Rutgers' QB of the future before he de-committed in 2013.
The penultimate paragraph in Dunleavy's story noted that for as talented as Wiegers may prove to be, the redshirt sophomore currently backing up Davey O'Brien Award candidate C.J. Beathard might not be a fit for the offense that the Scarlet Knights are installing this summer.
