Is Rutgers graduating players at a high rate according to the NCAA?

The Rutgers football program scored an 82 percent overall Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in the latest report released Tuesday by the NCAA for all Division I institutions.

The figure ranks third among Big Ten football programs and 26th nationally among Football Bowl Subdivision teams.

The Scarlet Knights football program has earned a score of 81 percent-or-better in each of the past eight years in GSR. In this decade, Rutgers has earned scores of 88 (2009-10), 89 (2010-11), 91 (2011-12), 85 (2012-13), 83 (2013-14), 83 (2014-15) and 82 this year.

Four of Rutgers' 20 programs — field hockey, gymnastics, women's lacrosse and women's soccer — posted perfect 100 percent GSR scores.
