PISCATAWAY -- After putting his stamp on the Rutgers football program by making countless changes big and small, it appears that coach Chris Ash's most important decision might be to keep something the same as it was before he arrived.
The starting quarterback.
Returning starter Chris Laviano took the lead with the first-team offense at Friday's practice and appears to be the favorite entering Saturday's second training camp scrimmage.
Because Ash plans to use the third scrimmage to replicate game conditions, Saturday could be the last fully live evaluation period for Laviano and Zach Allen.
