Prior to arriving at Rutgers last year, Jerome Washington experienced the highest and the lowest levels of college football.
Before playing in nine games in the Atlantic Coast Conference for Miami in 2015, Washington attended Mercer Community College while playing for Gattaca, a post-graduate program designed to assist student-athletes in getting recruited to an NCAA football program.
Founded in 2010, the West Windsor-based program played a post-graduate school schedule against NCAA sub-varsity football teams, junior college teams and prep schools.

Washington became the program’s most successful alum in 2014 when he signed to play for Miami after recording 24 receptions for 510 yards and eight touchdowns in his lone campaign playing at Gattaca.
